I’ve attempted a regular personal blog before, years ago, and while it was a fun exercise, it also took up a lot of time. Time I don’t have at the moment. (I’m a slow writer.) These days any personal news I might want to share is likely to take form of a Facebook status update or, even better, a 140-character tweet.
So this so-called blog is/will be for something else. This is a space where I will post links to interesting articles on writing and books I come across; writing-related job openings I happen to hear about; information on literary magazines and MFA programs. I could do the same thing on Facebook or Twitter, but what I’m after is one central easy-to-access place where I can look things up and, more importantly, direct my students to.
At least that’s the idea. We’ll see how it plays out.
